Selank

Selank is a synthetic heptapeptide (Thr-Lys-Pro-Arg-Pro-Gly-Pro) structurally related to the endogenous immunomodulatory peptide tuftsin. It exhibits potent anxiolytic (anti-anxiety) effects via modulating the balance of monoamine neurotransmitters (increasing serotonin and dopamine) and inhibiting the degradation of enkephalins. Unlike classic benzodiazepines, Selank does not induce sedation, muscle relaxation, or addiction liability, making it a unique tool for studying stress modulation.
