TB-500 is a synthetic, 43-amino acid peptide fragment derived from Thymosin Beta-4, a ubiquitous protein involved in actin sequestration and cell motility. Its primary mechanism involves binding to G-actin to promote cell migration, proliferation, and differentiation, particularly in endothelial cells and keratinocytes. TB-500 significantly upregulates VEGF and MMPs, facilitating robust angiogenesis and tissue remodeling. Furthermore, it exhibits potent anti-inflammatory properties by modulating cytokine release (reducing IL-1β and TNF-α) and promoting lymphocyte maturation.
