Seromorelin Acetate

Sermorelin is a synthetic, amidated 29-amino acid analogue of the endogenous Growth Hormone-Releasing Hormone (GHRH), representing the biologically active N-terminal fragment. Its primary mechanism involves binding specifically to the GHRH receptor (GHRH-R) on the anterior pituitary somatotrophs, thereby stimulating the synthesis and pulsatile release of endogenous growth hormone (GH). Unlike continuous administration models, Sermorelin mimics the natural physiological pulsatility, which is crucial for maintaining the biological activity of GH without desensitizing the pituitary gland. Research applications include studying the reversal of age-related GH decline (somatopause), improving lean body mass composition, and enhancing deep sleep architecture. Furthermore, it is used as a diagnostic tool for evaluating pituitary function. Due to its relatively short half-life (approximately 11 minutes), researchers often combine it with other GHRPs (like Ipamorelin) to achieve a synergistic amplification of the GH pulse.
